No plugin updates to chase.
PHP, a database and dozens of plugins work on almost every visit. People leave before the page appears.
Pages are cached on Cloudflare's edge, close to your visitors.
Hosting, premium plugin licences and someone to keep it all running, year after year.
Hosting on Cloudflare is usually free.

How it works
Four steps to a site without PHP and without plugins. We move the content, URLs and redirects for you.
Speed = money
Astro sends finished HTML and almost no JavaScript. Drag the line to compare a typical page on both platforms.
Illustrative values for a typical small business site, not a measurement of yours.
Core Web Vitals are part of Google’s page experience signals. Speed won’t beat better content, but between similar pages the faster one has the edge.
| Core Web Vitals · example | WordPress | Astro |
|---|---|---|
| Largest Contentful Paint | 4.1s | 0.9s |
| Interaction to Next Paint | 310ms | 60ms |
| Cumulative Layout Shift | 0.21 | 0.01 |
Google rates every landing page your ads point to. Landing page experience, including load speed, is part of your Quality Score, and a higher score usually means a lower cost per click.
Google Ads Quality Score
Every second of waiting costs visitors. On a fast page more of them stay, read and get in touch or buy.
+8.4%
more retail conversions when a mobile site got just 0.1 s faster
Deloitte Digital for Google, “Milliseconds Make Millions”, 2020
The percentage is your own assumption. Google doesn’t publish a fixed reduction; landing page experience is one of three Quality Score parts.
Security
Most WordPress vulnerabilities are found in plugins, and bots hammer the login page all day. On your Astro site there are no plugins to exploit, no password login to guess and no database server to reach.
Bot scan · waitingBot scan running…Scan finished · WordPress: 6 of 6 paths can work · Astro: 0

POST /xmlrpc.phpHundreds of guesses per request | Enabled by default | Page doesn't exist |
GET /wp-content/plugins/…Look for a plugin with a known hole | Plugins listed | No WordPress plugins |
POST /wp-content/uploads/x.phpUpload and run malicious code | PHP could run it | No PHP to run it |
mysql://your-host:3306Reach the database directly | Depends on your host | Not on the internet |
GET / × 1,000,000Flood the site until it goes down | Server overloaded | Filtered by Cloudflare |
| Attack paths that can work | 0 |
Simplified illustration of paths bots probe on WordPress sites. Whether each one is open depends on your plugins and hosting. Even on Cloudflare, extreme traffic can exhaust the free plan's daily limits.
Log in to the admin with your fingerprint, face or device. No password to guess, phish or leak.
The admin setup wizard only opens with a secret key from your project. Without it, the page acts as if it doesn't exist.
Content lives in Cloudflare's database. It has no public address: only your site and your Cloudflare account can reach it.
Stored secrets, like your email API key, are encrypted. The encryption key stays out of your code repository.
Cloudflare's network absorbs traffic floods before they reach your site. No extra fee.
A free SSL certificate is issued and renewed automatically for your domain.
Give editors full access to content without the right to change settings or manage users.
No PHP and no weekly plugin updates. Just an occasional framework update, a few times a year.
Runs on Cloudflare
Your site isn't on one server in one city. Cloudflare runs it in data centers in more than 300 cities and serves cached pages from the one nearest each visitor.
When a page is in Cloudflare's cache, a visitor in New York gets it from a data center in or near the city, with a round trip about 16× shorter than to a single server in Frankfurt.
Illustrative round-trip times for pages already in Cloudflare's cache. A page that isn't cached yet is built from your database, which sits in one region.
Visitors get your pages from a data center near them.
Included on every Cloudflare plan, the free one too.
Connect GitHub once and Cloudflare publishes each update on its own.
Created automatically from the project config when you connect the repository.
Roll back to an earlier release in one click. Content has its own daily backups.
It's a standard Astro app. It also runs on any server with Node.js 22+.

FAQ
These are the questions people ask before migrating. Anything else, write to us.
We move your URLs, meta tags and Open Graph data, and create redirects for anything that changes. Anything we know won't carry over is listed in the free report before you pay.
Yes. You install a WordPress plugin and paste an API key. Going live takes a free GitHub and Cloudflare account and a step-by-step guide, no terminal needed. If you get stuck, write to us. Occasional framework updates (a few times a year) take a few commands in a terminal; any web developer can do them in minutes.

Yes. Every site we build comes with a visual admin for pages, posts, media and forms, with user roles. No code needed.
On Cloudflare a typical business site usually costs €0 a month, within the free plan's limits. SSL and connecting your domain are free (your domain's DNS moves to Cloudflare); you only keep paying your domain registrar. Cloudflare may ask for a payment card to turn on image storage (R2), but it stays free within the limits.
It helps, but it is not magic. Google uses Core Web Vitals as one of its page experience signals, so speed gives you an edge over similar pages. In Google Ads, landing page experience is one of three parts of your Quality Score, and a higher Quality Score usually lowers your cost per click. Faster pages also tend to keep more visitors, which means more enquiries and sales.
A security plugin guards doors that stay open: PHP, plugins, a password login and the database. On Astro there is no PHP, no plugin to exploit and no database server on the internet, and admin sign-in uses passkeys instead of passwords. Cloudflare filters attacks before they reach your site.
No. The project is a standard Astro app. Cloudflare is the cheapest and simplest option, but it also runs on any server with Node.js 22+.
No. You pay once per site and download the full project (it stays available in your account for 12 months). The code and content are yours to keep.
Yes, if they are built with Contact Form 7, WPForms or Gravity Forms: they move into the built-in form system and every enquiry is saved in the admin. To get them by email, add a free Resend key as the guide shows. Other forms (for example Elementor Pro) are flagged in the free report, and you can rebuild them in the admin.
